Júlia Varga is a senior research fellow at the Institute of Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She graduated at the Budapest University of Economics and has received her CsC degree in Economics in 1996. She has been working in Budapest Corvinus University; Department of Human Resources since 1986, her current position is associate professor. Since 2006 she is a senior research fellow of Hungarian Academy of Sciences Institute of Economics. Her research field covers   economics of education. She worked on research projects concerning labour market outcome of education, demand for higher education, financing education. Recent research has focused on teachers’ labour market.
