Szilvia Hámori joined the Institute of Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as junior research fellow in 2007. She completed her B.A. in French with German, European Studies at Queen Mary in London in 1999 and continued her studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science where she received the postgraduate Diploma in Economics in 2000 and the M.Sc. in Economics in 2001. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics of the University of Mannheim. Her research interests include labor economics, economics of education, the returns to human capital and earnings inequality.
