Short Bio
Tamas Reti has been working since December 2000 as senior research fellow in the Institute of Economics, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Previously, he worked as senior research fellow in the Economic and Market Research Institute (Kopint-Datorg) and the Institute of World Economy (HAS). His research activity covers the comparative analysis of the central-east European countries' transition to the market economy, and the economic integration of the near-border regions in the neighbouring countries. He has also been working as a lecturer at the Corvinus University of Budapest, International Studies Center and at the Faculty of Social Sciences (ELTE) in Budapest. He defended his habilitation thesis in 2001 at the Corvinus University. He lectured as a visiting professor at the Bologna University and at the Ohio State University.
