She received her PhD in 2011 in Ecology, Conservation Biology, Taxonomy at the Eötvös Loránd University. Her PhD thesis focused on theoretical models (mostly tools of network analysis) that can be applied in conservation biology. She obtained a second master degree in Regional and Environmental Economics at the Corvinus University of Budapest (2010), after which she spent two years as a research assistant, then an assistant professor at the Department of Environmental Economics and Technology. She joined the Institute of Economics, HAS in October 2012. Her primary academic interest is to establish an interdisciplinary research line. In order to do so she focuses on the use of biodiversity-related aspects and ecological models in agricultural economic modelling frameworks. Another key research area of hers is the analysis of local food systems and short food supply chains (especially farmers’ markets and other market types), with a special focus on the environmental impact of these systems.
